Isopropyl β- d-1-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG) is an essential reagent used to induce protein expression where the gene is under the control of the lac operator by binding and inhibiting the Lacl repressor. IPTG concentration remains constant through the in vivo study as E. coli cannot metabolize it.
At CLS, we offer high purity (>99.5%) IPTG in two forms: 1M IPTG Solution and Ultrapure IPTG.
